Rosemary is an evergreen shrub with needle-like leaves that are dark green on top and white underneath, giving it a silvery appearance. The leaves are linear and arranged opposite each other on woody stems.
 
Rosemary has a distinctive pine-like fragrance with hints of citrus and a slightly bitter, woody flavor. The aroma intensifies when the leaves are crushed or chopped.
 
It is used fresh or dried to flavor roasted meats (such as lamb and chicken), fish, potatoes, vegetables, and bread, they are rich in nutrional benefits also.
